Meet Nora Sims

From Argentina to Art

My art adventure began in Argentina, where 'art' was more of a whispered interest than a pursuit. My parent's ambitions fast forwarded us to the U.S., where the 'American Dream' took the spotlight, leaving art in the 'when and if there's time' category.

Love and the school of forestry led Dan and I to Sedona, at the time, a community of less than 3,000 people and a budding art hub.  In this scenic haven, my creativity took a back seat to a 30 year career as a real estate broker.

Blessed with curiosity, creativity, and discipline, my art knows no bounds. Self-taught and fueled by a 'what if?' mindset, each piece I create is a unique gem. No limits, just the pursuit of crafting something intriguing. My medium? Whatever strikes my fancy, with a generous sprinkle of repurposed materials, because everything in life can transform into something else, and upcycling is kinder to the earth, even with the extra effort it demands.

My creations are signed as Danora, because when my artistic side stalls, Dan’s practical side gets me out of the bind.

With no roadmap at hand, the journey is metaphoric, satisfying, and produces visually appealing results with a whimsical twist.

Thank you for joining us on this special journey – it's art with a twist!".
